Our Client
ER Productions is an international laser show and special effects specialist, delivering high-profile events and worldwide concert tours. Following a successful smart home project for one of the company’s directors, Modus Vivendi was invited to support the company’s new Dartford headquarters with a building-wide control and lighting strategy.
The client appointed Modus Vivendi to provide a coordinated commercial system across lighting control, HVAC, CCTV, access, video entry and conferencing support. The priority was to create a practical technical environment that supported daily business use while remaining easy to manage.
The Brief
The new premises needed to operate as a central hub, combining offices, breakout areas, conference facilities, storage, and testing suites. The brief was to create reliable lighting control alongside integrated management of security, HVAC, conferencing, gate access, and selected operational functions across a varied commercial environment.
Our Solution
Modus Vivendi coordinated closely with the third-party lighting designer to deliver a flexible control strategy using the Crestron Home platform, chosen for its clarity and ease of use across the building. The system was planned to support multiple functions without adding unnecessary complexity for day-to-day staff use.
Integrated gate entry, remote call handling, occupancy-based lighting control, conferencing support, and dock-area extract fan management allowed the building to work more efficiently as both a workplace and testing facility. The result was a unified control environment shaped around operational clarity, energy awareness, and dependable day-to-day use.
