Our Client
This project came from a long-standing client relationship built over more than a decade. Over that time, Modus Vivendi had completed a range of audio-visual works for the property, creating a strong level of trust and a clear understanding of how the family wanted to live with technology.
The Brief
Following a major ground-floor extension during the first lockdown, an additional living room became available for a new purpose. The client wanted a complete turnkey transformation into a dedicated cinema space, while also resolving difficult room proportions and gaining clearer direction on specification and investment.
Our Solution
To define the brief properly, we invited the client to our Chelmsford demonstration facility so they could experience different cinema environments before committing to the final direction. Once the specification was agreed, we created a 3D visual to clarify the layout, finishes, and overall design intent before work began. We then delivered the project as a full room renovation, including a rebuilt front wall, coffered ceiling, bespoke fabric panelling, integrated lighting, projector housing, staged seating, and daylight control. The result is an Executive Cinema System shaped around shared family use, comfort, and long-term enjoyment.
