MODUS OPERANDI

LUTRON DESIGN, INSTALLATION & PROGRAMMING

Modus Operandi means “a way of operating”. For us, it describes how we approach Lutron.
As a Lutron dealer and installer, Modus Vivendi designs and programmes Lutron lighting and shading systems for homes across  London, Kent and the Home Counties, shaping each one around the property, the interior design, the people using it and the atmosphere each space needs to create, with ongoing support as the home evolves.

Our experience includes the Walton-on-Thames. II project, where Lutron was used to coordinate lighting, automated shading and intuitive control around the architecture and daily use of the home.

What Is Lutron?

Lutron is a specialist in intelligent lighting, automated window treatments and control systems, with more than six decades of innovation behind its technology.

Lutron HomeWorks brings lighting, blinds, curtains and architectural controls into one coordinated system, with scenes tailored to different rooms, activities and times of day.

At Modus Vivendi, we think of lighting as a language. With Lutron, we go far beyond simple control. We treat light as an architectural material, working with shade and intuitive control to shape the atmosphere of each room, complement the architecture and let the technology disappear into the way you live.

WHAT MODUS ✕ LUTRON
BRINGS TO YOUR HOME

DESIGNED AROUND THE HOME

We bring Lutron into the design early, coordinating lighting and shading with the architecture, interiors and wider technology.

SIMPLE CONTROL

We programme scenes, keypads and shading around how each room is actually used, keeping everyday control straightforward.

LIGHT THAT FEELS NATURAL

Lutron gives us precise control of light and shade; we shape it around the mood, function and rhythm of each space.

DETAILS THAT BELONG

Keypads, finishes, blinds and controls are considered as part of the interior, rather than added once the design is complete.

SMART HOME INTEGRATION

Lighting and shading are designed alongside the wider Modus Vivendi system, so the home works as one considered environment.

WHOLE-HOME LIGHTING & SHADING

Lutron brings lighting and automated shading into one coordinated system, helping each space feel right throughout the day. As a Lutron dealer and installer,

Modus Vivendi designs and integrates lighting control, keypads, blinds and scenes around the architecture from the outset, as part of a wider smart home installation. For larger residences, Lutron HomeWorks provides whole-home smart lighting and shading control. See how this was delivered in our Seal project.

Experience Lutron

Lighting control becomes easier to understand when you experience what it changes.

Considered lighting scenes can transform the atmosphere of a room, while automated window treatments manage natural light and privacy and architectural controls bring everything together without distracting from the interior.

At our Maidstone showroom, clients, architects and interior designers can experience how lighting, shading, control and wider home technology work together before the final system is defined.

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

LUTRON FAQs

1. What can LUTRON Homeworks control?

Lutron HomeWorks brings lighting, automated blinds and curtains, keypads and personalised scenes into one coordinated system. It can also integrate with audio, home cinema, security, voice control and other home systems, creating a more unified experience throughout the property.

2. How much does a Lutron Homeworks system cost?

Every Lutron HomeWorks system is individually designed, so cost depends on the size of the property, number of lighting circuits, automated blinds or curtains, keypads and integration required. Modus Vivendi provides a tailored specification and quotation for each project.

3. When is the best time to involve a Lutron installer?

Ideally at the design stage, before lighting layouts, wiring and keypad positions are finalised. Early involvement allows the Lutron system to be coordinated with the architecture, interiors and wider home technology, while avoiding unnecessary changes later in the project.
